Need some inspiration for the upcoming Easter holidays – this is a really easy and yummy apple tart to make.

Batter
  1. Pre-heat oven to 180deg c.
  2. Beat sugar and marg together until light and creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each egg.
  4. Sift dry ingredients and add to egg mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Stir the apples into the mixture.
  6. Grease a suitable dish and pour the mixture in. Bake for ±30 – 40 minutes.
Caramel Sauce:
  1. Only prepare 5 minutes before cake comes out of oven
  2. Put all ingredients into a pot and bring to the boil – stir continuously.
  3. Pour over tart immediately after removing from oven.
  4. Using a fork gently make holes for sauce to run down into the tart (same as Malva pudding).
