Instructions
  1. Preheat oven 180ºC. Roll out puff pastry and cut into rounds to fit a muffin pan or line a suitable dish – just the bottom and slightly up the sides.
  2. Peel and core apples, slice into thin wedges and brush with lemon juice and lay on pastry. OR: open tin of pie apples and lay apples on pastry.
  3. Stir together butter, jam, brandy, brown sugar, allspice and cinnamon and pour over apples.
  4. Bake at 180ºC for ±25 minutes, or until juice is thick and syrupy and pastry is baked. Serve with a dollop of ice cream or cream.
